Pina du Nord from Surly Brewing
I’m going to preface this by saying I love fresh, fruity, authentic tiki drinks. If you don’t, this probably won’t be your jam. But pineapple and key lime combine with citrusy hops to give this beer a fruity flavor with bitter notes, and oat milk and oat flakes offer creaminess that is a characteristic of some of my favorite tiki drinks. This beer, a collaboration with Pinthouse Pizza in Austin, Texas, is summer in a glass and just a whole lot of fun. Available in the taproom only, get there and give it a try before it’s gone.
