Winged insects in the soda nozzle: Dauphin County restaurant inspections - pennlive.com

The following Dauphin County restaurants were found to have violated Pennsylvania’s health and safety regulations during inspections between Aug. 2-8.

Inspections are overseen by the Department of Agriculture. The department notes that in many cases violations are corrected by the restaurant before inspectors leave.

PENN JERSEY MART

215 First St., Millersburg

Date: Aug. 7, 2020

--Deli sandwiches being prepared and packaged by the facility are not labeled properly with a complete ingredient statement, including clear indication of the inclusion of any “big eight” allergen ingredients and/or the allergen warning statement.

--Observed insecticide (canned wasp spray) stored below the hand-wash sink in the warewash/food preparation area, not labeled by the manufacturer as approved for use in a food facility.

--Observed a measuring bowl without a handle stored directly in the flour of the flour bin.
