The Sound of the Leaves from 612 Brew

I love a good Keller Pils, the naturally carbonated lager that is generally a bit cloudy in appearance because of a lack of filtration. Done right, this style has soft carbonation and a clean, crisp finish. 612 Brew has taken some liberties with the style, adding dry hops to give it a spicy, herbaceous flavor and aroma, and I really dig it.

The name of the beer is likely due to the fact that Keller beers were traditionally brewed in the fall when naturally lower temperatures allowed for lagering without refrigeration. Now, of course, brewers can make whatever they want in any season, and The Sound of the Leaves seems just about perfect for late summer leading into fall.

Taproom only; get it while you can.
