WEST FRANKFORT (WSIL) -- A local church is helping the community with a milk giveaway.
So far, organizers from Life-Source Church have given away 50 cases of 2% Prairie Farms milk.
They told News 3 they've had giveaway events every Tuesday for the past four months.
They've served hundreds of families and many say they are thankful.
"My family and my neighbors…going to give them some milk. I took milk to them last week and they were so grateful…and some of them can't get out of the house. They're elderly and…they just appreciate everything," said local resident Marion Mcelyea.
The church expects to give away fresh meat next week.
