A new pale ale beer was released Saturday at Junk Ditch Brewing company.

Head brewer at Junk Ditch Brewing Company Todd Stone wanted to try something different and he did just that

"The emphasis for this beer specifically was to use a local malt that we hadn't used before sugar creek malt if company in Lebanon Indiana and it was just something I'd been wanting to do for a while."

All proceeds will go to the family and friends fund for southeast side of town.

"I really love the community aspect and the local aspect about this beer and of course i'm always happy when someone likes my beer."

Designer DJ E-Clyps told Fort Wayne's NBC his label was from a picture he took during the downtown protests earlier this summer.

He said the picture signifies Dr. King's message for all races to have unity and he's glad he could help a good cause.

"It's something different everyone supports things in a different way so if you're able too have black creatives on a beer can so people can get a consumable item and at the same time support a good charity and good cause so its kind of a blessing on both sides."

Another designer who's art makes appearance on the cans is Lyndy Bazile.

She's only been making productive art for a little over a year and her design is called currency which has a powerful meaning behind it.

"It's just kind of thinking about money and capitalism and how they may or not being working for a lot of us so it kind of relates to this type of project too because were trying too disperse capital to parts of the city that been neglected."

The amount of recognition Bazile is giving her extra motivation to keep going and this fund also hits home.

"I live on the southeast side of town and i do know that we have been neglected over there and we do need a lot and that fund will be helpful and encouraging."

Todd Stone also told Fort Wayne's NBC that a beer like this takes 3 to 6 weeks to brew it's only being brewed once.
