The acquisition of a Welsh producer of bottled natural mineral, spring and tonic waters, which launched its cobalt blue glass bottle range at the Savoy Hotel in London in 1989, has been named as Deal of the Month.
Entreprenuer Bobby Nanua has acquired Tŷ Nant Spring Water for an undisclosed sum.
Based in Bethania on the edge of the Cambrian Mountains in west Wales, Tŷ Nant has established a worldwide presence as a premium purveyor of bottled natural mineral water.
New owner and director Bobby Nanua plans investment which will substantially increase production capacity.
All current staff will be retained along with a targeted plan to expand the workforce in the next 12 months.
Speaking at the time of the deal, Bobby Nanua said: "During the acquisition of the company we have received advice and support from Daniel Burgess and the team at Welsh Government along with Arwyn Davies from Ceredigion County Council."
Martyn Brierley, Flint Bishop’s head of corporate and finance, and senior property associate, Andy Stokes advised Nanua on the deal.
Janet Morgan and Gary Devonshire, partners of Smith Cooper, provided tax advice in connection with the transaction.
