One of Pennsylvania’s favorite convenience stores is ushering in the holidays with another limited-edition beer release.

This time around, Sheetz is hopping into the season with Project Happy Hole-idayz, a limited-edition deep golden pale ale brewed with Shweetz Glazed Vanilla Donut holes.

The Altoona-based chain said the beer imparts notes of fresh baked donuts, vanilla frosting, graham crackers, honey and malted barley. It will arrive in beer coolers at the chain’s 432 stores in Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Virginia at 4 p.m. Nov. 27.

This is not the first time Sheetz has partnered with a craft brewer. Previous collaborations have included Project Coffee Hopz with Rusty Rail Brewing Company in Mifflinburg, Project Brewberry Muffinz with Evil Genius Beer Company in Philadelphia and Project Hop Dog with Neshaminy Creek Brewing in Jenkintown.

For this one, it called upon Wicked Weed Brewing Company in Asheville, North Carolina to brew up the beer made with one pound of doughnuts per barrel.

“This year has been a tough one for us all and we’re hopeful this beer can lift the spirits of our customers as we embark on the holiday season and look toward next year,” said Ryan Sheetz, vice president of Marketing and Brand at Sheetz.

Project Happy Hole-idayz will sell in four-packs of 16-ounce cans for about $7.99. Don’t wait too long, because Sheetz said the beer will not be restocked once it runs out.
