In Germany, Sekt is the name for sparkling wine. In Spain it’s usually Cava. In Italy, Asti, Spumante, Prosecco, Trentodoc, Franciacorta, and Lambrusco are terms used for sparkling wine depending on the region the bubbles are produced. In the U.S. and other regions, sparkling wine is the most often used term for bubbles.
