1. Southern Tier Brewing Coming to Downtown Buffalo
Lakewood’s Southern Tier Brewing Company, who have taprooms in Charlotte, Pittsburgh and Cleveland, will convert (716) Food and Sport in Canalside into its newest taproom location. Southern Tier plans to make updates to allow for onsite brewing, a retail area for merchandise, and “to go” sales. The new taproom will have a beer-inspired food menu, and pour a full line of Southern Tier beers, ciders, seltzers and spirits. The project is set to open in late summer. 2. Community Beer Works Teams With Lloyd’s on New Beer
“Snozzberries? Who ever heard of a snozzberry!?” The answer is you, thanks to CBW and Lloyd Taco Factory new Snozzberry Sour, a kettle sour ale brewed with blueberries, fresh ginger purĂ©e, lemon, and snozzberies. It pours a deep purple thanks to the addition of butterfly-pea blossom tea for color. It will be released March 5 (3pm) at both Lloyd Taco Factories, and in four-packs to go from the brewery. 3. CBW, Lutheran Charities of WNY to Hold Virtual Tasting
Lutheran Charities of WNY is holding a virtual craft beer tasting fundraiser on March 11 with Community Beer Works. Brewmaster Robert Turley will lead a curated tasting of 3 flagship brews and 3 seasonal brews, plus house-made chips and beer cheese. Tickets are $49. 4. Resurgence Brewing to Take Part in 3-Way Collab to Help NYSBA
Resurgence is joining forces with Common Roots Brewing and The Brewery at the CIA on a collaboration beer, New York Stout of Mind. The beer will available as part of the NYS Brewers Association Virtual Imbibe. For $180, you will receive 2 styles from each brewery, plus six 16oz cans of the collab, gourmet eats from The Culinary Institute of America, 4 branded tasting glasses, 4 sticker bundles, and exclusive access to a 2.5 hour interactive tasting experience. 5. New York Beer Project to Drop Dubbel Stuffed Oreo
Just in time for National Oreo Day, NYBP’s Dubbel Stuffed was aged in bourbon barrels on double-stuffed Oreos. After four months, the beer boasts flavors of Oreo cream filling, oak, bourbon, vanilla, and light chocolate. An initial malty sweetness upfront will remind you of the inside of an Oreo, with a moderately dry finish. A limited amount of draft will be available at the brewery on March 6 (11am).

6. Flying Bison’s Aviator Red, Blackbird Stout Coming to Cans
For the first time ever, two of Flying Bison’s most cherished flagship brews, Aviator Red Irish Ale and Blackbird Oatmeal Stout, will be available at the brewery in 16oz. cans on March 5. Each can will feature original artwork.
