To marks its 25th anniversary in the craft beer business, BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse is brewing up a celebratory combination: Porter and Pizookie.
Beginning May 1, the Cookies ‘N’ Cream Pizookie Porter — inspired by the restaurant’s popular dessert pizza — will be available for a limited time in California.
But it’s an exclusive for BJ’s Brewhouse Beer Club members. To receive the new beer, you must sign up for a subscription ($30 every other month) by Monday, April 26.
The beer club offers new, unusual or exclusive beers to members, along with unlimited $5 growler refills and dining freebies every two months (free large deep-dish pizza, appetizer and Pizookie).
As beer lovers know, dark, malty porters and stouts are often brewed with chocolate, vanilla or similar notes. For this exclusive, BJ’s is using its PM Porter, which won a gold award in 2016 in the World Beer Cup.
BJ’s Alex Puchner, the senior vice president of brewing operations, calls the Pizookie-porter pairing “liquid dessert for beer lovers.”
Headquartered in Huntington Beach, the brewery-restaurant operates 11 locations in the Bay Area, and a total of 62 in California.Details: www.bjsrestaurants.com
