Anticipated Bob’s Ranch Pinot Noir Available to the Public on May 2

Walt WinesSONOMA COUNTY, CA (April 28, 2021) – WALT Wines, a leading luxury Pinot Noir producer owned by Kathryn Walt Hall with three tasting room locations in Napa, Sonoma and Healdsburg, CA, has announced the release date for its flagship Pinot Noir, Bob’s Ranch, and the much anticipated 2019 vintage.

“Freshness and balance are fundamental to this wine,” says WALT General Manager, Jeff Zappelli. “The 2019 vintage features intense flavors, rich color and powerful aromas and the palate is abundant in dark fruit, with lingering earth tones, truffle and spice – this is such a special wine.”

The Bob’s Ranch Estate Vineyard, owned and operated by WALT Wines, is located in Sonoma County, within the Sonoma Coast Appellation. The cool climate influence from the Pacific Ocean, via the Petaluma Wind Gap Appellation, offers cooler temperatures and brisk winds. The winds help to keep the fruit clusters small and pollenates the berries at different times resulting in small and larger berries on the same cluster. The winemakers stitch together their finest expression of the vineyard site using a multitude of clonal and heritage selections of Pinot Noir. The result is a powerful and flavorful wine with balanced acidity and freshness.

The Release of the 2019 vintage is being celebrated with a series of offerings including an official Bob’s Ranch Release Day set for May 2, where guests are invited to visit any of the WALT Tasting rooms in Napa, Sonoma or Healdsburg and enjoy a bonus pour with their tasting of the newly released Pinot Noir.

Additionally, as part of WALTs ongoing virtual Happy Hour series, the Bob’s Ranch Pinot Noir will be the program focus on the Friday, April 30 show which will include a performance by country music artist, Carly Pearce. Pearce won “Single of the Year” at the Academy of Country Music Awards that took place on Sunday, April 18 for the duet, “I Hope You’re Happy Now”, alongside singer/songwriter Lee Brice.

On Sunday, May 2nd, a limited number of tickets will be available for an in person Bob’s Ranch Rockstar Tasting at HALL St. Helena, in Napa Valley. The tasting features a vertical of four stellar Bob’s Ranch vintages, all which have received high praise from major wine publications. Vintner Kathryn Walt Hall will be in attendance sharing background about the Bob’s Ranch Estate Vineyard which was named after her late father, Bob Walt.

WALT produces single vineyard Pinot Noir wines from appellations stretching from as far north as the Willamette Valley in Oregon, through Anderson Valley, the Sonoma Coast, Carneros, Santa Lucia Highlands and the Sta. Rita Hills of the Santa Barbara County. WALT specializes in premier Pinot Noir and Chardonnay sourced from vineyards spanning 1,000 miles, a mile marking distance that coined the brand’s popular 1,000 Miles of Pinot concept.
