A driver was injured and cases of beer were spilled across Highway 35 in Aransas Pass early Thursday morning, the Aransas Pass Fire Department reported.
In a Facebook post, the fire department said the wreck occurred on the 35 Bypass near Moore Road when a car appears to have pulled out onto the highway in front of an 18-wheeler.

"The tractor trailer overturned, spilling numerous cases of beer onto the highway," according to the post. "A pickup truck towing a boat then hit the front axle of the tractor."
The fire department said the pickup truck driver was pinned in the cab and was transferred to EMS for treatment after being extricated. The northbound lanes of the bypass were closed for several hours.
