NASHVILLE, TN (May 7, 2021) – Yolan, the signature Italian restaurant at The Joseph, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Nashville (401 Korean Veterans Boulevard) – is pleased to announce the May lineup for its popular regional monthly wine series, as well as the launch of a new spring dinner menu.

Esteemed food and beverage partners, Chef Tony Mantuano and wine expert Cathy Mantuano, invite guests on a flavorful journey as they sip, swirl, and savor their way through Italy’s bountiful regions

May Regional Wine Series: Tuscany

Envisioned by Cathy Mantuano and Beverage Director Jon Kearns, Yolan’s regional wine spotlights the nuances that make Italy’s wine culture so vast and exciting. Each month, the team focuses on a new region, leading intimate tastings as well as a special, multi-course dinner. In May, the series offers a robust exploration of one of Italy’s most iconic wine regions: Tuscany. Located in central Italy along the Tyrrhenian coast, Tuscany is home to many of the world’s most renowned varietals. Chianti, Brunello di Montalcino, and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano are primarily made with the noble Sangiovese grape. May’s events include:

  • Chianti Classico Wine Tasting. Saturday, May 8, 4 to 5 p.m. Guests will explore the synergy between Sangiovese and some of Chanti Classico’s storied terroirs. The tasting includes four wines and cheese. Space is limited. $65 per person, exclusive of tax and gratuity.

  • Montalcino Wine Tasting. Saturday, May 15, 4 to 5 p.m. At this afternoon tasting, guests will sample and compare wines from the world’s greatest terroir for Sangiovese Brunello. The tasting includes four wines and cheese. Space is limited. $95 per person, exclusive of tax and gratuity.

  • Super Tuscan Wine Tasting. Saturday, May 22, 4 to 5 p.m. Born from the Tuscan wine revolution that began in the 1970s, guests are invited to savor original “stars” of the region. The tasting includes four wines and cheese. Space is limited. $95 per person, exclusive of tax and gratuity.

  • Tuscan Wine Dinner – Two Nights Available. Thursday, May 26 and 27, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. The ultimate journey, a once-in-a-lifetime Tuscany Wine Dinner will showcase a rare lineup of Tuscan wine selections – from Brunellos to Super Tuscans, paired with five unforgettable courses of time-honored regional cuisine. Cost is $395 per person, exclusive of tax and gratuity. Space is limited. Diners will be seated together in Yolan’s exclusive private dining room. Reservations required.

Spring Menu

As the season ushers in brighter weather and increased bounty from artisan producers, Chef Mantuano and his culinary team are pleased to introduce decadent new flavors to Yolan’s a la carte and tasting menus. Italy’s regions of Friuli and Veneto lend inspiration. Located in Italy’s Northeastern coast, these regions are celebrated for their mastery of authentic rice and seafood dishes. In addition, guests will delight in seasonal produce preparations, with fava beans, asparagus, morel mushrooms, and artichokes adding layers of depth to every bite. Capturing the spirit of the season are dishes like Primavera, a vibrant asparagus gazpacho with mushrooms, spring vegetables, and Alta Badia Cheese; Risi e Bisi, an ample risotto with Parmigiano-Reggiano, fava beans, spring peas, and morel mushrooms; and Pesce, halibut brightly prepared with squid ink, white asparagus, and basil. Irresistible desserts crafted by Pastry Chef Noelle Marchetti sweetly conclude the meal, with selections such as Rabarbaro with ricotta, rhubarb, pickled Meyer lemon and spearmint, and the Caprifoglio with honeysuckle, pistachio, spring melon, fregolotta, and sea salt. New selections are available on both Yolan's a la carte and tasting menus. View the spring menus here.

This summer, guests can look forward to a new weekend tradition as Yolan also introduces weekend brunch, featuring traditional breakfast options and contemporary Italian dishes embracing both savory and sweet. Brunch-goers can expect Yolan’s roving Aperol Spritz cart and a range of sparkling wines to complement the midday festivities. Launch date to be announced soon.

Yolan is open nightly from 5 to 10 p.m.; closed Tuesdays. For reservations, visit yolannashville.com and follow at @yolannashville.
