Beer Review: Weldworks Brewing Company – SCIENCE! Sour Wheat Ale - On Tap Sports Net

sela.indah.link

Forget dissecting frogs! This is what high-school science class should be all about.

Greeley, CO based Weldworks Brewery collaborated with Anaheim, California’s Bottle Logic Brewing to create SCIENCE!, a 4.8% Sour Wheat Ale.

With a bold recipe that includes raspberry, blueberry, toasted coconut and vanilla, this beer is one experiment worth trying.

Advertisements

Appearance and Aroma

Simply put, this beer looks beautiful in a glass. SCIENCE! has a color somewhere between a deep blood-red and magenta, depending on the light.

It also smells wonderful. Right away the nose provides a blast of blueberry aroma, but I also got an earthy tartness from the raspberry.

I also started getting hints of fruit punch Hi-C after a few deep inhales, transporting me back to my childhood.

Flavor/Mouthfeel

Weldworks and Bottle Logic did an incredible job highlighting each ingredient of this beer independently. There are times you read a beer’s ingredients, and then find yourself trying desperately to pull out the different flavors. That was not the case here.

Drinking SCIENCE! felt like a guided tour right down the ingredient list.

Up front you get the berries. Blueberries play the lead role in this beer with the raspberries immediately following with their deliciously tart flavor.

This is of course a sour beer, but the wheat aspect of it balances it out very well. I found it to be the perfect ratio that created a wonderfully muted sour feel in the mouth.

When you swallow there is an immediate hint of vanilla. However, it doesn’t stay around very long as the focus of the finish is all coconut.

I am not someone who traditionally likes coconut-flavored foods. However, I’ve found over the years that coconut in my beer is something I thoroughly enjoy if done right. This beer was done right.

As you exhale, there is a flood of sweet coconut flavor throughout the mouth and nose that I found to be just the right amount.

This beer reminds you that it’s a sour a few seconds after the finish. As the coconut fades, a mild tartness follows it and and settles in the back of your throat.

Summary

I’m pretty picky when it comes to sour beers. They’re admittedly not my favorite style, so for me it’s a fine line. Finding the right mix between sour and flavor is not easy. Weldworks and Bottle Logic nailed it. The merger of a wheat beer and sour beer created the perfect balance.

The two breweries wasted nothing with this beer, allowing each and every ingredient a chance to shine on its own.

SCIENCE!, like it’s name-sake, is all about exploration, and I found it extremely enjoyable exploring my way through the flavors of this brew.

Sip and Stroll With a New Winter Park Wine Tour - Orlando Magazine

sela.indah.link

Strolling along Park Avenue in Winter Park is one of my favorite things to do in Central Florida. So when I learned of a new wine stroll created specifically for foodies, I was intrigued.

Enter the Winter Park Wine Walk, the first wine stroll launched by husband and wife due Bryce Morrison and Carla Rhodes. The couple have created Tours and Travel for Foodie Fans. Morrison believes that tours are an excellent way to learn about an area. “As a traveler and a travel advisor, I believe tours are one of the best ways to quickly discover foodie destinations in an area. The Winter Park Wine Walk is built to reflect everything I look for in a great foodie tour,” he shared.

Winter Park’s Park Avenue. (Brooke Fehr)

While I already know a thing or two about Winter Park, I couldn’t pass up Bryce’s invitation to join him for one of his first tours. So on a beautiful day in March, I set out to meet him at the rendezvous point as I looked forward to experiencing Park Avenue through their eyes.

Meet Me in Winter Park

Prior to the tour, Bryce sent me an email with lots of helpful information. We were to meet at the Winter Park Train Station—a great option, since parking there is a breeze. He also provided his phone number in case I was running late or needed to make contact.

Tour Owners and Experience Guides Bryce Morrison and Carla Rhodes (Brooke Fehr)

When I arrived, our group of around 12 people had already assembled. We had a two couples among our numbers as well as a group of friends celebrating a birthday. I could tell this would be a breezy, fun afternoon.

Stop #1: A Bite of Lunch at Tabla

We made our way to our first stop at a comfortable pace, as everyone chatted and became acquainted.

I was excited to experience Tabla for the first time. Since it had moved into its spot on Park Avenue during 2020, I had yet to visit. You’ll find it inside the Shops on Park Avenue. We actually dined at a table outside the restaurant proper—a sort of sidewalk experience, but inside.

I wasn’t sure exactly what to expect, but portions were hearty. After taking our wine orders (a two-ounce pour of either the house white or red), our plates started to arrive. They included three courses: a flavorful, brothy Soup to start along with a Vegetable Samosa; and Butter Chicken with both rice and naan. We were also treated to Gulab Jamun, a sweet made of a type of fritter soaked in a rose water-flavored sugar syrup.

Everything was delightful. tablacuisine.com

Stop #2: Sip, Savor and Nosh at The Ancient Olive

After such a substantial lunch (I didn’t clean my plate; I wanted to pace myself), we took a short walk to our next stop, The Ancient Olive. Tucked into a space in The Hidden Garden just off of Park Avenue, this is your one-stop shop for premium olive oils and aged balsamic vinegars.

Our host walked us through some of the shop’s offerings, which go beyond oil and vinegar to sauces, cheeses, crackers and more. It’s a gourmet lover’s dream spot.

Inside the Ancient Olive. (Brooke Fehr)

While there, we had the chance to sample oils, and learned how to taste them to unlock the full aromatic potential in each. It was enlightening to slurp oils from different countries and detect the subtle nuances in flavor.

During the stop, we were also treated to samples of the shop’s sauces, olives and other goodies. Afterward, there was plenty of time to chat with our host and browse the shelves of treasures to take home. theancientolive.com

Stop #3: Something Sweet at Choulala

Our next stop took us to Choulala Fine Pastries, a sweet little pastry shop located right on Park Avenue.

Step inside the petite space and prepare to be dazzled by a stunning array of pastries, from the pate a choux puffs for which the shop is named, to eclairs, macarons and entremets that are almost too pretty to eat.

We were greeted by Chef Stephanie Krupp, who talk a little about the shop’s offerings. As part of the tour, we could each choose a puff or a macaron. In addition, we were treated to our choice of a Prosecco float, an effervescent cocktail made with Italy’s famous sparkling wine and a scoop of the shop’s gelato or sorbet. As an alternative, we had the option to choose an Affogato: an espresso over a scoop of gelato.

Choulala Fehr 5

Dreamy choux puffs at Choulala. (Brooke Fehr)

I chose pistachio because, well, I can never have too much pistachio. 🙂

Choulala Fehr 2

My favorite: A pistachio macaron. (Brooke Fehr)

It paired beautifully with my float, a combo of Prosecco and puckery passionfruit gelato. And let me tell you—if there is something more pleasurable than sipping gelato-laden Prosecco on Park Avenue in the middle of a Monday afternoon, I haven’t found it yet.

Go. Do this. You’ll be glad you did. choulala.com

Stop #4: Swirl the Day Away at The Wine Room

Up to this point, we had enjoyed a fair amount of walking, wine-ing and noshing, but the grand finale was a stop at The Wine Room. Have you been before? It’s a fun experience. More than 150 wines are available in 1-, 2.5- or 5-ounce pours, via the spot’s Enomatic wine dispensers.

Armed with a pre-paid card, you simply slide the card into the machine, follow the instructions on the screen and make your selection.

As part of the tour, each guest receives a card pre-loaded with $20 to sample at will.

Tasting my way through Team Red. (Brooke Fehr)

The wine bar also offers a full menu of small plates, which can be purchased separately.

As part of our experience, Bryce also treated us to a taste of one his personal wines that he keeps in his own case locker, another service that The Wine Room offers. If you’re looking for a spot to secure valuable wines, you might want to check out this offering. thewineroomonline.com

The Takeaway

Whiling away the day, strolling one of Central Florida’s prettiest drives and eating and drinking delicious things…how could you go wrong? I enjoyed this curated experience, and look forward to trying Bryce’s other tours, which he hopes to launch in Winter Garden and Mount Dora soon.

Here are a few details, in case you’re looking to book your own wine walk:

Price: $65 per person, ages 21 and up

Duration: 3.5 hours

Advice: Wear comfortable shoes and plan on sunglasses and possibly sunscreen or a hat. Also, at least for now, plan to have a mask for times that you’re indoors and you’re not eating or drinking.

What to bring: Gratuities are not included, so it’s a good idea to have some cash for tipping, especially during lunch. Also, plan to bring some spending money, in case you’d like to shop at The Ancient Olive, or take a bottle home from The Wine Room.

Ways they give back: As a former member of the armed services, Bryce is passionate about helping veterans and their families. $5 from each tour benefits the Shift Colors Project, which helps service members and their families readjust to civilian life.

Join Angelina Mondavi with Special Guests on New Instagram Live in May for Expert Tips

Napa, CA, April 28, 2021– Making it easier to enjoy the fresh flavors of sushi right at home, Flat Top Hills invites consumers to learn from Angelina Mondavi along with special guests through Rolling In Style, a series on Instagram Live in May. Designed to demystify how to create sushi-inspired dishes in a home kitchen, the three-episode event brings Angelina Mondavi, consulting winemaker, together with guests from Lundberg Family Farms, Eiko’s Modern Japanese and Osprey Seafood to share tips and ideas.

“Sushi and wine can be a really beautiful pairing. The crisp acidity of a Sauvignon Blanc or citrusy richness of Chardonnay play off fresh fish, while the savory notes in a Cabernet Sauvignon complement deeper flavors like unagi,” said Angelina Mondavi, consulting winemaker for Flat Top Hills and member of the fourth generation of the C. Mondavi family. “But even for accomplished home cooks, making sushi can feel intimidating. That’s why we’ve gathered some experts and friends to share advice and techniques, and of course some favorite wines.”

Hosted by wine and culinary personality Oscar Peralta of @Beyond.The.Taste, special guests will join Angelina Mondavi to talk about ingredients, techniques and great pairings. Live on @FlatTopWines on Thursdays at 4:30 p.m. Pacific, the full series includes:

Rolling In Style with Flat Top Hills

  • May 6 – with Brita Lundberg, Lundberg Family Farms
  • May 13 – with Allison Hallum and Chef Tateki Noma, Eiko’s Modern Japanese
  • May 27 – with Kelsey Coulson, Osprey Seafood

Kicking off on May 6, Brita Lundberg, member of the fourth generation of leadership at Lundberg Family Farms, will chat with Angelina about different varieties of rice and why sushi rice is key. She’ll also share some easy recipes and swap stories about growing up in the family business.

On May 13, Eiko’s Modern Japanese Proprietor Allison Hallum and Executive Chef Tateki Noma will showcase Poke, a beloved favorite at the restaurant, located in the First Street Napa district. They’ll talk about the differences in California and Hawaiian-style Poke, both available for take-out or dine-in orders, and also demonstrate how to make a delicious, simplified version at home.

The series concludes on May 27 with Osprey Seafood Culinary Director Kelsey Coulson. For those in the Napa area, Osprey Seafood will offer an exclusive Flat Top Hills Hand Roll Meal Kit, complete with everything needed to create hand rolls for two, including fresh fish, nori, rice, accompaniments and Flat Top Hills chopsticks* (*while supplies last). Purchase a kit, pick up a bottle of Flat Top Hills, tune in, and cook along as Culinary Director Kelsey Coulson demonstrates how to make the perfect hand roll right at home. Kits must be ordered by Tuesday, May 25 for pick-up Thursday through Saturday, May 27-29. Call 707.252.9120 to reserve.

More ideas for hosting sushi parties and choosing the perfect wine pairings are also available on the winery’s Pinterest page, https://www.pinterest.com/flattopwines/how-to-host-a-sushi-party/.  The complete Flat Top Hills line includes juicy Rosé (SRP $13.99), crisp Sauvignon Blanc (SRP $13.99), balanced Chardonnay (SRP $13.99), rich Red Blend (SRP $15.99), and velvety Cabernet Sauvignon (SRP $15.99). The wines are available nationwide – find the nearest retailer at https://www.flattopwines.com/find-near-you

19 Best IPA Beers - Top IPAs of 2021, According To Experts - TownandCountrymag.com

sela.indah.link
best ipa beers to sip

Of the top 25 beers on Beer Advocate's list of the best beers in the world, eleven are India Pale Ales. In tandem with the craft beer movement, IPAs have risen tremendously in popularity in recent years.

While IPAs come in a variety of styles, they're generally known for high hops content. Their flavors can range from citrusry to piney, and while they're not all bitter, IPAs are well-suited to those who appreciate some bitterness in their pints. Styles are categorized by both region—West Coast, British, and New England-style, for example—and hop level, like double or triple.

The "India Pale Ale" name harkens back to the 19th century, when the beer was created in England and exported to British troops stationed in India. The hops and alcohol content was increased from a standard pale ale, reportedly in order to preserve the booze during the months-long trip involving hot weather and no refrigeration. Another theory is that the pale ale carbonation and flavors simply were not robust enough to survive the journey, so extra alcohol and hops were added to keep the troops happy.

Whatever the case, IPAs are some of the most interesting, complex, and popular beers on the market today. Here are 20 of the best to try.

1 Hitachino Nest Japanese Classic Ale

"I really enjoy drinking Hitachino Nest Beer, especially on a hot summer day. It pairs well with both sushi and classic Alsatian dishes like Tarte Flambée and sauerkraut."

—Jean-Georges Vongerichten, Chef and Proprietor, Jean-Georges

2 Port Brewing Wipeout IPA

drizly.com

$5.95

"When it comes to IPAs, I am really not a huge fan of the new-school hazy IPAs in general. I grew up with clear crisp IPAs and those are still the ones I like to drink the most! This one goes way back for me and is one of the first American IPAs I remember tasting and thinking, wow, the Americans are up to something compared to what I was used to drinking from the UK! It's clean and crisp but still has those tropical dank notes."

—Jeppe Jarnit-Bjergsø, Founder of Evil Twin Brewing

3 Magnolia Brewing Co. Proving Ground IPA

drizly.com

"I discovered New Magnolia Brewing Company on a recent trip to Houston. They're a family-owned and operated neighborhood brewpub in historic Houston Heights, with 20 beers on tap and a number available in cans. We serve their beers at the two restaurants we operate in Houston: Cafe Leonelli MFAH and La Table.  All of their beers are great, but one of the standouts for me is the Redwood IPA. This West Coast-style IPA is bright, crisp, and absolutely delicious. It pairs incredibly well with classic Italian food."

—Jonathan Benno, Chef of Leonelli Restaurant and Bar (NYC), Leonelli Bakery (NYC), Benno (NYC), Café Leonelli and La Table (Houston, TX)

4 Interboro Premiere IPA

drizly.com

"Jesse Ferguson and his crew brew some of the freshest and cleanest beers I've ever tried at Interboro in the Bushwick/Williamsburg border in Brooklyn, and we're always sure to pour an IPA of theirs on tap at Red Hook Tavern. Premiere is a straightforward and classic East Coast-style IPA with a slightly hazy golden color and rich foamy head. There's an explosion of citrus and melon aromas and flavors thanks to the Citra, Mosaic, and Galaxy hops, plus a double dry hop of Mosaic. Premiere is dry and balanced, super refreshing, and clocks in at 6% ABV so you can drink more than one on the patio in the sun on a late afternoon."

—Rebecca Flynn, General Manager & Beverage Director at Red Hook Tavern, Brooklyn

5 Kern River Citra Double IPA

drizly.com

"Kern River Citra explodes with sweet citrus and reminds me of the first time I stuck my head in a bag of hops.  It reminds me a lot of the first double IPA I ever had, Pizza Port Frank, which sadly isn't made anymore."

—Patrick Rue, one of 19 Master Cicerones in the world and Winemaker in Training at Erosion Wine Co.

6 Maine Beer Company Lunch

beer drizly.com

"Whenever I see Maine Beer Co. Lunch on a tap list, I order it.  The geniuses at Maine have figured out how to layer flavors and textures where each sip is a progression of flavor experiences.  First citrus, then pine, then crisp, toasty malt finishing in a crisp bitterness with a lasting finish of citrus.  It's an old-school, West Coast-style IPA made in the best of ways, yet with a rustic unfiltered haze that'll appeal to the new school IPA drinkers as well."

—Patrick Rue

7 Other Half Brewing Company Double Dry Hopped Green City

drizly.com

"Other Half Brewing opened in 2014 and immediately changed the greater NYC area's brewing landscape. While their canned IPA releases initially created massive hype and long lines that wrapped around Brooklyn blocks, their beers always delivered. A huge following of fans has remained loyal to their outrageous IPAs. Green City is a double dry hopped (DDH) IPA, also in that East Coast style; it is so hazy it pours opaque thanks to a load of oats in the malt bill. Those oats contribute a creamy body which offsets the bracingly bitter addition of Simcoe, Citra, and Centennial hops. This beer is another pint that proves Brooklyn is truly the Green City and home to the best IPAs in the country."

—Rebecca Flynn

8 Russian River Pliny The Elder

drizly.com

"A top IPA list isn't complete without Russian River Pliny The Elder.  It is the benchmark for the double IPA style that has stood the test of time—a perspective-shifting beer when I first experienced it in 2005, to today Pliny's, an old pal that still looks the same (perhaps even better) after all of these years!  The fresh aromatics of citrus blossoms and freshly cut pine trees with a firm bitterness and a dry finish always keeps me coming back."

—Patrick Rue

9 Burial Surf Wax IPA

drizly.com

10 Industrial Arts Wrench IPA

drizly.com

"I’ve been called a ‘spirits guide’ more times than I can count. It's a play on words, but the message is that I'm a trusted resource when it comes to spiritus alcohol as I've got decades of experience tasting, judging, and selling all manner of high-proof juice. It's smart to seek out the opinions of an expert, whether choosing a new tipple, athletic shoe, or car. When I’m in the mood for a beer, there's no better resource for information in NYC than Cory Bonfiglio of Beer Street. He knows my tastes and steers me toward IPAs that I'll either like right away or that'll challenge my perception of the category. This modern classic has become a beer bar staple, and for good reason. It ticks all the boxes for a classic Hazy IPA: soft mouthfeel, overripe citrus, and tropical aromatics. It's a great choice for relaxing with friends."

—Sother Teague, Beverage Director, Amor y Amargo

11 Brooklyn Defender IPA

drizly.com

$56.99

"As the sunshine starts to be a more regular occurrence, Defender—herbal and floral with bright notes of pithy grapefruit—makes its way into regular rotation as well. Keep 'em cold!"

—Sother Teague

12 Sierra Nevada Dankful IPA

drizly.com

$11.49

"I've always loved Sierra Nevada Torpedo, their now longstanding foray into the IPA category, but Dankful feels like the official Sierra Nevada West Coast IPA we've all been waiting for. It masterfully blends seven varieties of new and old-school hops without pushing too much juicy fruit. This is classic American IPA hop character, with grapefruit and citrus vying with resin, pine, and earth for flavor impact. The resulting balance is remarkable, as is the caramel malt sweetness, which also takes a shot at balance before giving way to a clean, rich and resounding bitterness. Drinking Dankful just feels good, especially as it funds some of Sierra Nevada's many philanthropic pursuits Overthrow Hospitality."

—Greg Engert, Beverage Director & Partner, Neighborhood Restaurant Group

13 Proclamation Tendril IPA

drizly.com

"I love Proclamation Tendril IPA. I have been following Proc since their days at the old lumber yard in Kingston. Now they have now upgraded to a large-scale facility and are still able to put out the amazing quality from their roots. This New England IPA is, in my opinion, the best Rhode Island beer. Tendril has these wonderful grapefruit and melon notes that just make it a total crusher for any time of the year."

—Corey Hayes, Director of Food and Beverage for  and Nomi Park in Newport, RI

14 Radiant Pig Save The Robots East Coast IPA

drizly.com

"Radiant Pig Save the Robots is a dope microbrewery from Brooklyn now owned by our neighbors at Newport Craft. Save the Robots is a true New England-style IPA. I love this beer because of its artistic connection. It was named for East Village Club artists like Keith Haring and Basquiat. It's a great example of a juicy haze bomb, and the tropical notes are what makes it so damn drinkable."

 —Corey Hayes

15 Hazy IPA

ipa drizly.com

$10.99

"The Anchor Brewing Tropical Hazy IPA is really a great beer to be had any time of the year. It has a flavorful, crisp, and refreshing taste that pairs perfectly with any style of pizza."

—Oscar Venegas, Chef at Tony’s Pizza Napoletana, San Francisco

16 Goose Island IPA

drizly.com

"Goose Island Brewery is a Chicago story and so am I. I have consumed many times my bodyweight of this IPA. Fruity, not over malted, and a brilliant warm weather pounder for when I am tired of pondering complicated wines."

Belinda Chang

17 3 Floyds WarPigs Lazurite IPA

drizly.com

$13.66

"When I head to my childhood home of Chicago, I always stop off at Big Star for tacos and their excellent list of brews. A Three Floyd's IPA is typically always on my order and instantly signals 'I’m home.'"

—Gavin Fine,  JH Fine Dining Restaurant Group Owner and Roadhouse Brewery Co-Founder, Jackson Hole, WY

18 Fat Orange Cat Brew Baby Kittens NEIPA

drizly.com

"I'd suggest Fat Orange Cat Brewing Baby Kittens. It's not as overpowering in the hops department as some IPAs, and it's on the lighter side. It also finishes a little bitter, leaving you reaching for another sip. With notes of citrus and tropical fruit, it's easy to pair with all kinds of dishes. We've found it to be a real crowd-pleaser here at the restaurant."

—Mikayla Cansler, Beverage Director, The Shipwright’s Daughter, Mystic, Connecticut

19 Other Half Mosaic Dream IPA

drizly.com

"Considering the incredibly diverse and growing range of beer styles available today, it's useful to focus on a particular beer style as a framework for trying out different breweries. IPAs are perfect because they really put the hops and a brew master's creativity in the spotlight. As a style that would have been traditionally brewed for foreign export, they are especially well suited as a source of local pride. I have been loving what's been coming out of New York City lately, with so many smaller operations producing fantastic brews. One of my very favorites is the Other Half Brewing Company out of Brooklyn, which is constantly coming out with new IPA variations in collaboration with cool brands and really having fun with their hops. A great place to try their newest IPA release and discover other local brews is at Eli's Night Shift on the Upper East Side (ask for Chris)."

—Nicholas Wirth, Director of Food, Beverage, and Events at the Greenwich Hotel

Luxury Pinot Brand, Walt Wines, Releases 2019 Vintage of Its Flagship Wine - wineindustryadvisor.com

Anticipated Bob’s Ranch Pinot Noir Available to the Public on May 2

Walt WinesSONOMA COUNTY, CA (April 28, 2021) – WALT Wines, a leading luxury Pinot Noir producer owned by Kathryn Walt Hall with three tasting room locations in Napa, Sonoma and Healdsburg, CA, has announced the release date for its flagship Pinot Noir, Bob’s Ranch, and the much anticipated 2019 vintage.

“Freshness and balance are fundamental to this wine,” says WALT General Manager, Jeff Zappelli. “The 2019 vintage features intense flavors, rich color and powerful aromas and the palate is abundant in dark fruit, with lingering earth tones, truffle and spice – this is such a special wine.”

The Bob’s Ranch Estate Vineyard, owned and operated by WALT Wines, is located in Sonoma County, within the Sonoma Coast Appellation. The cool climate influence from the Pacific Ocean, via the Petaluma Wind Gap Appellation, offers cooler temperatures and brisk winds. The winds help to keep the fruit clusters small and pollenates the berries at different times resulting in small and larger berries on the same cluster. The winemakers stitch together their finest expression of the vineyard site using a multitude of clonal and heritage selections of Pinot Noir. The result is a powerful and flavorful wine with balanced acidity and freshness.

The Release of the 2019 vintage is being celebrated with a series of offerings including an official Bob’s Ranch Release Day set for May 2, where guests are invited to visit any of the WALT Tasting rooms in Napa, Sonoma or Healdsburg and enjoy a bonus pour with their tasting of the newly released Pinot Noir.

Additionally, as part of WALTs ongoing virtual Happy Hour series, the Bob’s Ranch Pinot Noir will be the program focus on the Friday, April 30 show which will include a performance by country music artist, Carly Pearce. Pearce won “Single of the Year” at the Academy of Country Music Awards that took place on Sunday, April 18 for the duet, “I Hope You’re Happy Now”, alongside singer/songwriter Lee Brice.

On Sunday, May 2nd, a limited number of tickets will be available for an in person Bob’s Ranch Rockstar Tasting at HALL St. Helena, in Napa Valley. The tasting features a vertical of four stellar Bob’s Ranch vintages, all which have received high praise from major wine publications. Vintner Kathryn Walt Hall will be in attendance sharing background about the Bob’s Ranch Estate Vineyard which was named after her late father, Bob Walt.

WALT produces single vineyard Pinot Noir wines from appellations stretching from as far north as the Willamette Valley in Oregon, through Anderson Valley, the Sonoma Coast, Carneros, Santa Lucia Highlands and the Sta. Rita Hills of the Santa Barbara County. WALT specializes in premier Pinot Noir and Chardonnay sourced from vineyards spanning 1,000 miles, a mile marking distance that coined the brand’s popular 1,000 Miles of Pinot concept.
